Trump vs. Harris Debate Reaction

In my opinion, no one won Tuesday's debate.  Both candidates looked shaky at times, and it is hard to predict how voters will process the display.

Once again, Vice President Harris refused to answer specific questions about how she would solve the many problems President Biden has created, such as open borders, punishing prices for consumers, Gaza, Ukraine, and social disorder. Kamala had nothing.  The only concrete thing she said was that she would give away trillions of federal dollars to help various people.

She even dodged the simplest question: is the country better off than it was four years ago?

Donald Trump's mistakes overshadowed Kamala's lack of specificity.   Talking about undocumented migrants eating cats and dogs was bizarre and unverified. Relitigating the 2020 election gets the former president nowhere.

Trump was stronger on foreign policy but got waxed on abortion because he didn't articulate the seriousness of the procedure.  He should have used the Bill Clinton "safe and rare" quote to highlight Kamala's extremism.  Instead, he allowed Harris to portray him as taking away the "rights" of women.

The moderators, especially Linsey Davis, served up questions designed to put Trump on the defensive, but he should have been ready for that.

ABC /Disney is a liberal network, and that was on full display.  Ms. Davis loathes Mr. Trump.

Summing up: Not a good night for the home of the brave.  That's the real outcome of the debate.
