Product Description
The University of South Dakota's law school has been told by the school that holding a 'Hawaiian Day' party violates the school's policy on inclusiveness. The reasoning? The name 'Hawaiian Day' could be interpreted as culturally insensitive. The students were also advised not to give out leis because that could be inappropriate. Hawaiian state representative Bob McDermott shared a differing opinion and told the school that they are welcome to participate in the tradition. The attempt by colleges across the country to have an inclusive environment is limiting students at every angle.
