Congresswoman Liz Cheney will lose a primary vote in Wyoming on Tuesday and be banished from Congress beginning next January. The conservative Republican is a smart, honest woman, I believe, but hatred has done her in.
Trump hatred.
Ms. Cheney voted to impeach the former President and then led the January 6 House Committee in smearing him. She helped Nancy Pelosi and went directly against the folks in Wyoming whom she represents.
Liz Cheney did all this because Donald Trump attacked her father, the former Vice-President. Yes, Trump often is over-the-top in his verbal bashing, and a loyal daughter would be expected to object.
But Liz Cheney went "over-the-top" as well and will now pay the price.
I expect her to sign on as a CNN contributor. That network is trying to rehab itself and desperately needs conservative voices. And Liz will have a letter of recommendation from Pelosi to soothe any corporate angst.
