I am looking forward to the three scheduled debates this year.

Here is the debate schedule as it stands now:

  • September 29th in Cleveland
  • October 15th in Miami
  • October 22nd in Nashville

All three of the debates will be hosted by the Commission on Presidential debates. That organization will announce moderators, format and other things in early September.

Now, I believe that this year the debates will largely be fiascos. That is because both candidates have to try to destroy the other, not get points across.

Donald Trump is going to do what he did to Jeb Bush and other candidates the first time around—marginalize, diminish and attack.

There is no question that Mr. Trump will do that. He will largely ignore the moderator’s questions and let loose on Joe Biden.

Now for his part, Biden has said incredibly nasty things about Donald Trump, and you would expect him to give the President back what he’s giving out, so Biden is going to have to use personal attacks all over the place.

That’s why I'm looking forward to the debates—I mean, you don't even need moderators. Just let them go. It's going to be quite something.

The result is going to be chaos. The moderators are not going to be able to control it.
