CBS ran a segment saying that African Americans had a low life expectancy compared to other races in their country due to poor health. However, the discrepancy in life expectancy between African Americans and Whites is not as big as you might think - and it has actually been getting better over time. Yet, the media wants to continue to play into this narrative that African Americans are victims of the American system.
